Center Accreditation

Achieve Premier Accreditation Status

The accreditation process is a peer review system in which trained volunteers visit and review centers in accordance with PATH Intl. standards. A center that meets the accreditation requirements based on the administrative, facility, program and applicable activity and service standards becomes a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center for a period of five years.

Accreditation Benefits

Accreditation is a voluntary process that recognizes PATH Intl. Centers that have met established industry standards. People in your community will know they can entrust their safety to your center.

Reaccreditation

You worked hard to become the best. Maintain your status as a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center.

Continue to uphold all applicable standards and the code of ethics.

Renew the annual center membership every year of the five year accreditation period.

Pay the annual accreditation fee.

The accreditation fee of $750 is payable in annual installments of $150 that must be included with membership dues.

Submit an application to be accredited for the next five-year term.

You must submit application at least six months prior to your accreditation period lapse date.

The Accreditation Process

Center members that wish to become accredited, and accredited centers seeking reaccreditation follow the steps below:

Download the Center Accreditation Booklet

Assign a center representative.

This person must be an individual member of PATH Intl. and have completed the Standards Course within 90 days of application submission.

Complete the accreditation application.

  • Application Form
  • $250 application fee
  • Directions to your center
  • List of all certified instructors and, if applicable, the list of all licensed/credentialed medical professionals for therapy services
  • While not required, centers are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to complete the “Self Assessment” found in the accreditation booklet. This self assessment score form gives you the opportunity to review the standards and confirm you are meeting each applicable standard and are prepared to demonstrate compliance.
  • Wait to hear from PATH Intl. with your site visitor assignment and make the final arrangements for date(s) of visit and other details with your assigned lead visitor.

Become an Accreditation Site Visitor

PATH Intl. individual members can get involved with the accreditation process by becoming site visitors. This experience offers networking opportunities, travel to other PATH Intl. programs, excellent educational opportunities and first-hand participation in the growth and professional development of our industry.

Requirements

We were a riding center that had been PATH Intl. compliant for nine years. Last year we became a Premier Accredited Center. One of the advantages is the recognition in our community of the high standards of PATH Intl.
