2017 PATH Intl. Conference and Annual Meeting - November 8-11

Targeted at the ever-growing group of professionals in equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT), the 2017 Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) Conference and Annual Meeting, presented by title sponsor Purina, will feature an impressive array of educational sessions presented by industry experts. The Horse Expo and keynote luncheon have been perennial highlights. Attendees also enjoy the opportunities to catch up with old friends at various discussion forums and social receptions and network while visiting our growing exhibit hall.

A hard copy of the registration brochure and registration form will also be available in the summer Strides issue, so make sure your membership and contact information are up to date with the PATH Intl. office so you don’t miss this important issue.

Early bird registration has been extended due to hurricanes and fires and floods. Register before October 13 and save $135 off the member onsite fee. Click here to register online.

The registration book, along with the summer issue of PATH Intl. Strides, is in the mail and has all of the session reg book coverdetails and information on other activities, such as the opening general session Wednesday evening and the keynote speaker Cara E. Yar Khan, the 2015 PATH Intl. Adult Equestrian award recipient and UNICEF representative, who will speak at the awards luncheon on Friday. You may also use the included registration form to register by hard copy, if you choose not to register online. Simply complete the form in the registration book and fax or email it in. Highlight of Changes

  • Opening welcome and general session "Turning Hurdles Into Opportunities" - Wednesday, November 8, 4:30 p.m.
  • Region networking moved to breakfast on Thursday, November 9, 7:45 a.m.
  • Annual awards moved from banquet to lunch on Friday, November 10, 11:30 a.m.
  • Pre-registration for sessions is not necessary this year. Attendees should plan to arrive early to sessions to secure a seat.

PATH Intl. has negotiated the following discounted hotel rates. Tax is 16.75% per night.

The contracted rate is good until either the room block sells out or until October 10, 2017. Availability and rate cannot be guaranteed once the room block is sold out or after this date.

Air Travel

The San Antonio International Airport is located about 30 minutes (9 miles) from the hotel. Expect longer travel times during commuter hours.

Ground Transportation (from airport to the hotel)

• Super Shuttle $15 flat rate per person from the San Antonio Airport to all downtown hotels. Click here for information.
• Taxis are available at the airport for approximately $25-30 one way.
• Public Transportation - Bus transportation is available from the airport to the hotel. Click here to check rates and available times.

PATH Intl. is actively soliciting abstracts on important research, best practices, trends and developments that are of significance to association membership and other conference attendees. The association is especially interested in receiving abstracts from presenters with information relevant to the field of EAAT. Abstracts describing innovative programs, research or other related information are welcomed.
