Melissa “Missy” Lamont originally started with Naples Therapeutic Riding Center as a volunteer in 2008. During the summer of 2008, Missy became a part-time staff member of NTRC as the Volunteer Coordinator for Saturday therapeutic riding lessons. In January 2010, she became a full-time member of NTRC family as the Program Administrator. Currently, Missy serves as NTRC’s Program Director.

Missy has been in Southwest Florida since 2006. Her past work experiences include working with the Marco Island Family YMCA as the Tennis and Sports Program Coordinator as well as working with the American Hospitality Academy.

Missy grew up in State College, Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Commercial and Community Recreation.

In 2013, Missy became a certified Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) Riding Instructor. In 2014, Missy also became certified in both Adult and Children Mental Health First Aid.

Missy is a 2015 GAIN graduate and in 2014 she was named one of Gulfshore Business 40 under Forty.
