Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center is a nonprofit organization for children and adults with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. Vinceremos offers unique programs in therapeutic riding and hippotherapy. The CEO will provide staff management and leadership and implement policies of the board of directors. The successful candidate ideally will have 3 years PATH Intl. experience or equivalent; experience of 5 years at an executive level. The candidate will have P&L responsibilities of a growing 501c corporation. In addition, this candidate should be an experienced leader and financial executive with appropriate industry experience, preferably in the Therapeutic Riding field. The candidate must have high ethical standards and exhibit an excellent professional image. The candidate should be a strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, strong operational focus, excellent leadership skills and most importantly exceptional communication skills.

Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization and a member of the Hospital for Special Care community. We are a Premier Accredited Center through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) located in Middletown, CT, seeking a part-time and per diem barn assistant and per diem certified riding instructors to join our team.

Riding Instructors are responsible for instructing equine-assisted sessions and un-mounted program activities in a safe professional manner, developing rider goals and weekly objectives, documenting weekly progress, submitting written evaluations at the end of each semester and participating in staff meetings, program functions and trainings. Adult and Child CPR, First Aid Certification, PATH riding instructor certification and High School Diploma are required. One year teaching experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must possess horse-handling and riding experience along with excellent communication skills.

The Barn Assistant is responsible for the care of Manes & Motion’s horses to include: daily feedings of grain, hay and water, administering supplements and/or medications as prescribed and monitoring the overall weight, health and soundness of the horses. He/she is responsible for turning horses out and bringing them in, in accordance with program schedules, farrier/vet/dentist appointments and weather conditions. The Barn Assistant is also responsible for daily manure removal from stalls, pastures, riding arena and riding trail and the cleaning of feed and water buckets and outside water tanks. Ability to take a horse’s vital signs and identify health concerns, illnesses and unsoundness is required. One year experience in the field of equine care, High School Diploma and at least two years horse ownership experience is preferred.

We are a Premier Accredited Center through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) located in Middletown, CT, seeking a part-time, 24 hour per week Volunteer Coordinator. Additional hours may be available if the candidate is interested in working in a Riding Instructor position.

This position oversees all aspects of the volunteer program including recruitment, training, scheduling, communication and supervision of volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator assigns duties appropriate to the volunteer’s abilities, training and availability and plans and implements volunteer recognition and retention programs. In addition he/she is responsible for maintaining current data on all volunteers including the recording/reporting of volunteer hours in compliance with PATH Intl. requirements. The Volunteer Coordinator serves as a resource to volunteers and staff and represents the program in a positive and professional manner.

Required: High School Diploma, PATH Intl. registered riding instructor certification or above; First Aid/CPR/AED certification; one year supervisory experience; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; effective written, communicative and analytical skills and prior experience working with individuals with special needs.
