SIRE, a PATH International Premier Accredited center with three locations in the greater Houston area has an opportunity for a full-time certified instructor with proven success to teach safe and effective lessons, leading our clients toward independence and goal achievement. In addition to teaching people with disabilities, this position includes teaching able bodied riders, conducting ground lessons, training volunteers and assisting with SIRE’s Instructor Training Course, mentoring program and other educational events. Additionally this employee will assist the Site Manager with selection, care, schooling, and managing of the SIRE horses, developing and implementing new programs, organizing and coaching at horse shows, participating in program based special events as well as attending staff meetings and SIRE’s fundraising events.
1. PATH Intl Instructor Certification, Advanced Level preferred
2. Associate’s degree minimum, bachelors or greater preferred
3. Equestrian skills and in both English and western
4. Horse show experience
5. Excellent people and communication skills
6. Excellent organizational skills
7. Professionalism and team player spirit are musts

Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization and a member of the Hospital for Special Care community. We are a premier accredited center through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) located in Middletown, CT seeking per diem certified riding instructors to join our team as we expand operations to year-round programming.
Responsibilities include instructing equine-assisted sessions and un-mounted program activities in a safe professional manner, developing rider goals and weekly objectives, documenting weekly progress, submitting written evaluations at the end of each semester, and participating in staff meetings, program functions, and trainings.
Adult and child CPR, first aid certification, PATH riding instructor certification, and high school diploma are required. One year of teaching experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must possess horse-handling and riding experience, along with excellent communication skills. Candidates must want to be part of a productive team environment that is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals living with special needs.

Youth Villages has been a national leader in the implementation of research-based treatment philosophies in the field of children's mental and behavioral health. Serves as Risk Manager for all activities at the stables ensuring that all components of the risk management plan meet or exceed industry standards.
Works collaboratively with Recreation Therapists to ensure that the therapeutic riding programing meets the therapeutic needs of the youth.
Is responsible for the safe implementation of all equine-assisted groups at Youth Villages.
Responsible for documentation of group sessions for each youth participating.
Ensures that all equine-assisted groups adhere to the process of experiential learning and all groups are oriented toward the treatment goals of the students.
Responsible for day-to-day operations at the horse barn including but not limited to feeding and caring for the horses and daily safety sweeps and health evaluations of horses prior to daily use by youth.

Montgomery Area Nontraditional Equestrians (MANE), a non-profit equine-assisted therapeutic riding program located in Montgomery, Alabama, is seeking a results-driven PATH Intl. Certified Instructor to lead our exceptional Premier program staff. MANE offers a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience. Candidate must have five years’ instructional/management experience in equine-assisted activities setting.
The successful candidate will:
• Structure and develop content and standards for our PATH Premier Program.
• Monitor performance objectives for staff, equine partners, and program participants.
• Manage staff /Board/volunteer/participant relationships.
• Work to provide support for all program activities, including financial oversight, fundraising, instructional content, equine and site maintenance, volunteer recruitment and training, and community partnerships.
• Ensure continued development and implementation of best practices, policies and procedures, program protocols and services.
• Gather, maintain, and analyze key program performance indicators, and alert the Board of Directors when targets are at risk.
• Perform analysis and staff training as assigned in support of new program initiatives.
