Steady and willing, Duke lived 34 years in west Texas. He was a Border Patrol mount most of his life. He was donated to Therapeutic Horsemanship of El Paso for a time. He was adopted by Janet Schwarzback and retired to Spirit Ridge Ranch in the Hueco Mountains.
